Tono at the Arden Theatre

After our great success in Calgary, thirteen dancers, musicians, artistic and technical personnel piled in to two vans and drove north from Calgary to St. Albert, Alberta, just north of Edmonton. We were headed to the Arden Theatre for two performances in this beautiful venue. Another friendly crew was there to meet us, and lots of media too. Although our time in St. Albert was short lived, we hit our stride with fantastic performances, standing ovations, and wonderful responses from audience members.

We were then off to Banff to refine our work over a three-day period and to offer a Master Class on Indigenous Music to the artists-in-residence at the Music & Sound Department at The Banff Centre. International guests joined us in Banff including Mr. Peng Fei and Mr. Li Zhen who travelled all the way from China to see Tono at the Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad.

It's been an amazing tour so far.
