Located at 70 ° latitude, -128° longitude.

The caribou has poor eyesight and hearing, which makes it easy prey. However, it is capable of outrunning most of its predators, including:

  • The Arctic wolf, which follow the herd for many miles before attacking a specific animal.
  • The golden eagle, which preys on the young caribou, snatching them in their talons and carrying them off.
  • Wolves, wolverines, grizzly bears, also track and kill caribou.
  • Humans: the caribou is one of the mainstays of the Inuit and First Nations peoples of northern Canada.
